Born in Hong Kong and raised in the United States, Dr. Irene Lau earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science from Purdue University before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery at New York University College of Dentistry in 2003. She finished her postgraduate studies at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, where she attained her pediatric dentistry accreditation. She is the founder of Hello Smile HK, a founding partner of two multidisciplinary dental clinics, as well as a part-time clinical lecturer at the Prince Philip Dental Hospital in Hong Kong.

Over the years, Dr. Lau has practiced in Chicago, New York, and Beijing. She has been able to combine her passions for working with children and dentistry to assist children of all ages, particularly those from underserved communities and those with special health care needs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling.

Dr. Stanley Liu is an internationally recognized maxillofacial and sleep surgeon whose career has been devoted to improving breathing, facial development, and sleep. He serves as Chair of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Nova Southeastern University, and previously was Director of the Stanford Sleep Surgery Fellowship and Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at the Stanford University School of Medicine.

A global educator in sleep-disordered breathing, Dr. Liu has played a major role in advancing pediatric sleep health worldwide. He has lectured for the International Pediatric Sleep Association (IPSA), the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry (IAPD), and taught for years in the Tufts Pediatric Dental Sleep Mini-Residency. He now teaches in the Pediatric Airway Mastery Course directed by Dr. Audrey Yoon and in pediatric sleep medicine through Airway Health Solutions with Dr. Umakanth Katwa.

Dr. Liu is a frequent invited speaker at major international meetings, including the ADA Children’s Health Symposium, and has served as a keynote speaker at the World Sleep Congress. His teaching highlights the essential links between facial growth, airway physiology, and pediatric sleep health. As he notes, sleep surgery is about “restoring missed milestones in facial and airway growth.”

With 156 peer-reviewed publications, his research spans airway development, sleep-disordered breathing, maxillary expansion, precision diagnostics, and the neurophysiology of sleep—consistently emphasizing early recognition of airway underdevelopment and the unified relationship among breathing, growth, behavior, and sleep.

As Co-Director of Hello Smile HK, Dr. Liu advances the NGO’s mission of early detection, family education, and integrated care for pediatric sleep-breathing disorders. He believes that healthy sleep breathing is the gateway to wellness and is committed to making airway-centered care accessible to every child.

Kelly works as an in-house counsel at a Hong Kong investment firm. She has two teenage boys and has become interested in children's dental health since her son was born with a tongue tie and suffered early childhood caries. Kelly believes that good dental health and function are essential to a person's overall well-being and is committed to spreading awareness and educating children about oral health issues and their links to overall health. Kelly has lived in Korea, the Philippines, and the United States and holds a J.D. and a B.A. from Smith College.

Mr. Sunny Wong is currently the chief financial controller of a private company. He has worked as a manager for international firms such as K Line, Agility, and Mediterranean Shipping, as well as an NGO at the Hong Kong Arts Centre. Mr. Wong holds a Master of Science in Accountancy from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and is a fellow member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Mr. Wong has more than 20 years of worldwide logistics experience.

John was born in Hong Kong, spent his teenage life in the UK. He graduated in Middlesex Business School in London where he earned his Bachelor Degree in Marketing. He has a proven track record of profitable business growth through the creation of successful sales and marketing strategies for more than 20 years. Experienced in working with leading brands in the competitive and medical equipment, focusing on exceeding customer service expectations, ensuring optimum brand impact.

Timner is a senior healthcare professional with over fifteen years of experience in large dental clinics. She possesses in-depth expertise in various operational processes within dental clinics, covering front desk reception, patient care, and back-office administration. This experience has not only allowed her to accumulate a wealth of professional skills but has also fostered a strong sense of responsibility, keen observational skills, and a proactive work attitude.
